Aluminum Casting Process
At U-Chance, we specialize in aluminum production, offering a comprehensive process from drawing and sample evaluation to final packaging.
01
Drawing/Sample
U-Chance offers feasibility assessments based on 2D/3D drawings or customer-provided samples. We provide material recommendations according to the intended aluminum production.
02
Mold/ Runner Design
Analyze molds and runners based on product design and then provide 3D drawings for customer confirmation. U-Chance creates high-quality molds and pathways (runners) to ensure efficient material distribution, minimize defects, and optimize the casting process for precision and quality.
03
Tooling/ Mold Making
Molds or tools are used in manufacturing to shape materials into desired forms, granting accuracy, stability, and efficiency for mass production. Mold types can vary depending on the materials, shapes, and requirements. Wooden or aluminum molds are selected for sand casting based on usage and quantity. Steel molds are chosen for gravity casting and die casting.
04
Casting
Pour the molten aluminum into sand molds or metal molds for shaping manually or using robotic arms. Casting creates complex shapes with high precision. It is widely used in automotive, aerospace, and machinery industries due to its light weight, strength, and corrosion resistance. Common methods include die casting, sand casting, and investment casting, each suited for different applications based on detail, volume, and mechanical requirements.
05
Quality Inspection
Quality control personnel utilize various inspection instruments for quality management in each process. In-process self-inspection by on-site personnel. Routing inspection by quality control personnel. Sampling inspections before shipment.
07
After-treatment
Various post-processing treatments can be carried out according to material or customer requirements, such as deburring, vibration, polishing, sandblasting, and more. U-Chance also offers professional aluminum heat treatment services, including solution treatment (T4), quenching, natural (T4) or artificial aging (T6), and annealing for softening. These processes enhance aluminum alloys' strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties. Our heat treatment solutions are widely used in the automotive, bicycle, marine, robotics, tools, and construction industries. U-Chance offers a variety of aluminum alloys and applies different heat treatment methods based on the alloy type (heat-treatable and non-heat-treatable alloys).
08
Machining
U-Chance specializes in aluminum CNC machining service, offering turning, milling, drilling, and tapping to meet diverse customer requirements. We ensure stability with custom fixtures and conduct in-process measurements for accuracy. Our products are suitable for electric motor components (housing, casing, side plates), electric bicycle parts (head tube, motor casing, front fork), robotic arm components (body, base), ventilation fans (blades, impellers, bushings), and more. With over 50 years of experience, ISO 9001 certification, and an all-in-one service, U-Chance guarantees high-quality aluminum machining solutions.
09
Surface Treatment
Providing various surface treatment services according to customer requirements, such as coating, anodizing, electroplating, painting, etc.
10
Packaging and Shipping
Packaging in the most secure and appropriate manner to prevent damage during transportation.
